The Monumento al Campesino is situated in the centre of the island at a main crossroads for Teguise, San Bartolomé, Tinajo and La Geria. The entrance is marked by César Manrique’s “Fecundidad” sculpture which is a fertility symbol dedicated to the Lanzaroteño farmer. The house is a museum with lots of traditional features like canarian chimneys, wine presses and camel seats etc.
Open: 10:00 to 18:00 (restaurant 13:00 to 16:00)

Directions: Take the LZ-20 from Arrecife to Tinajo or the LZ-30 from Teguise to Uga.
Recommendations: When exiting the car park turn right and continue along the LZ-30 towards Uga, this road takes you through the wine region of La Geria and you can stop at several bodegas on this road. When you reach Uga, head for Yaiza and take the turn for Timanfaya National Park to drive through the beautiful Montañas del Fuego then back through the village of Mancha Blanca to complete a circular route.
